Hi I am Tony with an important message for you.

At Peel Zoo we are committed to animals first and foremost. For this reason we have formed a partnership with the Mandurah Wildlife Rescue to act as a holding area for sick and injured animals and also rehabilitate and release back into the wild. Sometimes animals are not strong enough to be released and are given a safe place to live whilst helping people to interact and learn from them.

Mandurah Wildlife Rescue operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week responding to calls from people who have found sick animals or have found them injured around roads and parks.

If you find a wounded or sick animal you can call the rescue team on (08)9586 3166 Dot and Reini and John Frings (08) 9535 5342 M0419 395 114 (the bird specialist) they do a fantastic job. They ask where possible to bring the animals to them as they are volunteers and they have limited time and money to run this extremely important service for the community.
