A Family Business

Peel Zoo is a privately owned and run family company. We receive no funding from Government or animal charities. However, we do receive a lot of support from the public. And for that, we are greatly appreciative.

Donations to Peel Zoo enable us to provide the best care possible for our animals. That care obviously includes food and shelter. Something of which we are extremely proud though, is our breeding programme for the endandered Tasmaian Devil.

In 2011 Peel Zoo bred 11 Tasmanian Devil joeys. The importance of this can not be over stated. The Devil is decimated in the wild.
