Welcome To Peel Zoo

Hand feed animals in the lush environment of a boutique, hands-on zoo, set on the banks of the Murray River.

Our Mission

The mission of Peel Zoo is to provide visitors with a personal, iintimate, and hands on experience.

What To Expect

Peel Zoo is a boutique, hands-on zoo, in a lush setting on the banks of the Murray River. What makes Peel Zoo really unique is the ‘hands-on experience’ you get here. Hand feed the animals, hold a snake, pat a fox, tickle a ferret… There are well over 100 species of birds and animals that will capture your imagination: koalas, wombats, bettongs, exotic birds, reptiles, bengal cats, spotted quolls, possums, owls… The huge walk-through aviary and Tasmanian Devils are star attractions.

Bring a hamper and take advantage of our FREE BBQ facilities. The Zoo is so tranquil, it’s actually therapeutic.

Peel Zoo is an awesome location for school camps, excursions, and children’s parties. Their new nocturnal tours are truly amazing. And if you can’t make it to the Zoo, ask about our Zoo2U mobile animal display.

Peel Zoo is only 10 minutes from Mandurah and 1 hour from Perth. It’s just off Pinjarra Road, behind the Pinjarra Golf Club.

The Zoo is open daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm weekdays, and 9:00am to 5:00pm weekends, public and school holidays.

The Peel Zoo Family Fun Day held on Sunday April 15, 2012. A fantastic day, with camel and pony rides, face painting, and a sausage sizzle adding to the normal attractions of the Zoo. Part proceeds from the day go towards building the "Devil Haven", our new enclosure for endangered Tasmanian Devils. Many thanks to all the people who visited, volunteered, and worked on the day. It was the biggest day of the year and a lot of fun.
